Case study Asset Management Improvement Project The Isaac Plains Coal Mine is located approximately 7 kilometres south east of the town of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin region of central Queensland. The open cut mine deposits provide the plant with a combination of metallurgical coal and thermal coal for processing. Ausenco Rylson was engaged to validate and optimise the existing asset management and maintenance functions at Isaac Plains Coal Handling and Processing Plant.
