Upper Heyford Sewage Treatment Works Background Thames Water were in the process of refurbishing the Sewage Treatment Works at Upper Heyford Sewage Treatment Works which was to be undertaken by Xylem Water Solutions. During the refurbishment they needed temporary treatment facilities to ensure discharge consents were maintained. The Overall Objective The works had a consent standard for 50% during the refurbishment and required a temporary replacement for primary settlement and biological treatment. Solution Siltbuster Process Solutions provided full support during the process and as a result installed a HB40R Clarifier as the primary tank, MBBR30 for biological treatment plus a D25 DAF for final solids preparation.
