Universal Accessibility Makes Getting Around the Team USA Training Site Easier and More Inclusive
To support Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, a universal accessibility platform was created to help athletes and staff of all abilities navigate the large training site. The solution uses AR-enabled handheld apps powered by 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® processors and the OpenVINO™ Toolkit to provide turn-by-turn directions. After scanning the site with 3D mapping technology, the data is processed using machine learning to build interactive models. This scalable, cost-effective solution enhances independence, safety, and accessibility, helping thousands of users—regardless of physical ability—move confidently throughout the venue.
