Case Study
UMO to the Rescue
A successful North American scrap metal recycling company decided to research upgrading their facility. Operating a fully integrated facility, they purchase a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap from a variety of sources ranging from manufacturers & industrial producers to demolition contractors. Products they recycle range from scrap vehicles, appliances, demolition scrap, copper and other ferrous and non-ferrous scrap. They then are able to sell: shred, heavy melt, cast, turnings, and busheling. A key part of this company’s process requires a conveyor to remove materials from under their scrap steel shredder. Unfortunately the maintenance on the belt conveyor they were using was very high and the belting very expensive.
