Case Study
Rod Deck to the Rescue
A Florida recycling facility was researching the most cost effective way to process various material streams – commercial, industrial, and single stream. One area they identified to reduce cost was with the traditional approach disc screens. - Using a rotary shaft with multiple discs on plastic bags, wire, and strapping is costly in terms of maintenance, downtime, and material contamination. The GKC Rod Deck features no rotating shafts and has complete access to the screening deck. - An extension of the GK FINGER-SCREEN, the simple, cost effective screening capabilities of the Rod Deck are able to handle single stream, commercial and industrial waste. The wider openings allow non–presorted larger materials to effectively screen over while smaller materials separate out.
