THE NEED Using LEAN Six Sigma techniques, Central Sterile Processing and Materials Management leaders at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional identified specialty bed management as an area ripe for improvement. They were spending too much time looking for these assets and renting too many specialty beds. Initially, the team focused on streamlining its order form process.
