KSU – Rel@y Email Communication About Kansas State University Kansas State University is situated on 664 acres in Manhattan, Kansas (AKA “The Little Apple”). With enrollment of over 22,000 students from all 50 states and over 90 countries, KSU has over 400 student organizations and is affiliated with the Big 12 Conference. Each year KSU distributes more than $151 million in financial aid to its students. The KSU Foundation was established in 1944 as the official fundraising body of Kansas State University. The Foundation’s staff of 96 works closely with the K-State Alumni Association staff to support the university. The Alumni Association helps thousands of K-State alumni and friends stay connected. In 2005 KSU kicked off the public phase of its Changing Lives Campaign:
