Elgin Separation Solutions builds water solutions through innovation ELGIN SEPARATION SOLUTIONS CASE STUDY Delta Irrigation Industry Municipal Water & Irrigation Problem The city of Delta, BC was adding a raw water intake for municipal water and irrigation use. The site was in the lower Fraser River. High debris within the water and variable flow made use of traveling screens difficult. Solution Elgin developed a tee screen with custom anchorage design to address the sometimes high and variable sweeping flow within the river. The variable flow and resulting variability in water depth required screens with an aspect ratio (screen diameter to length) outside of the typical design. Elgin developed a custom flow modifier. Result The screen is in successful operation
