Cook Legacy builds water solutions through innovation COOK LEGACY CASE STUDY San Marcos Drum Intake & AirBurst System Industry Municipal Water Problem The system was a suite of drum screens which were directly connected to a series of pumps. This created a control system integration challenge to coordinate the pump and the airburst screen cleaning system. Additionally, the screens had to be retrofit to an existing site where there was limited physical space for the screens. Solution Cook Legacy developed a custom AirBurst system with adjustable operating cycles to coordinate with the operating strategy of the plant. The site conditions required the use of a custom screen geometry. This was accomplished by use of a purpose built flow modifier to maintain velocity balance
