Challenge The objective of this project (funded by NIACE’s Equality, Diversity and Innovation Fund and Herefordshire Council) was to introduce learning to a particular sector of the population who do proportionately less well than other groups within the traditional education sector. The targeted group from the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller community often fail to complete their formal education and do not go on to access other learning opportunities. As a result, they significantly reduce their future life chances and employment prospects.
