CASE STUDIES CORRECTIONAL FACILITY Suffolk County Correctional Facility Yaphank, NY Lizardos designed the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for the renovation and 720 cell expansion to the existing jail. The design includes a new Central Utilities Plant for chilled and hot water generation with air-cooled chillers and hot water boilers. The utilities plant includes three 2,000 kW generators to provide 100% emergency power for the facility. The facility includes state- of-the-art power distribution, security, communications, UPS and CCTV systems.
