Overview The FIE was established in 2015 by the Pro­ ductivity, Innovation and Growth Agency of the Ministry of the Economy as an instrument for in­ vesting in strategic projects which contribute to the diversification of the production infrastruc ­ ture of the Chilean economy, promote innova­ tion and improve productivity in key sectors. In addition to providing funding, the FIE also co­ ordinates the various public and private play­ ers involved in projects to ensure consistency with the objectives set and support their im­ provement through continuous evaluation and monitoring and setting requirements in terms of results and impact indicators. The FIE currently has 34 initiatives under implementation, repre­ senting public investment of over $170 million, complemented by $800 m
