SIKA AT WORK STATON PARADE, LONDON ROOFING: Sikalastic® RapidBACKGROUND Located on Northolt Road in the London suburb of South Harrow, Station Parade has a row of shops at street level with two storeys of residential accommodation above, comprising a mix of private ownership and rented apartments. REQUIREMENT All apartments are accessed at the rear of the building via stairs and walkways and the existing asphalt walkway surfaces had blistered, causing various leaks and creating a trip hazard for residents. There was an urgent requirement to carry out the walkway refurbishment while the building remained fully occupied and with minimal disruption for occupants. The building’s flat roof had also reached the end of its service life, requiring a refurbishment to protect the apartments
