Partial machine upgrades can significantly improve production yields, but may place extra strain on those sections that remain unmodified. To determine the impact on one such paper mill upgrade, comprehensive condition monitoring was put in place to detect and diagnose potential failures and faults to allow for scheduled maintenance.
