Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Sobrato Pavilion OverviewThe 370,000 sf Sobrato Pavilion, a new building at the main campus of the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, provides burn and trauma patients a tranquil and technologically advanced rehabilitation setting. The Pavilion adds 168 private patient beds and an expanded 32-bed Intensive Care Unit to treat patients with a variety of injuries. A focus for the new building was to incorporate the most state-of-the-art technological tools to speed recovery and support research, including interactive and networked devices to treat patients recovering from stroke, a gait and balance training system with wearable sensors, and a therapy pool with a computerized underwater treadmill that allows clinicians to monitor patients via an underwater cam
