The new library includes 7,950 square feet for a fully automated handling system to house 1,300,000 volumes of the University’s collection. The system is located on the southeast corner of the new Harrington Learning Commons, Sobrato Technology Center, and Orradre Library. Features of the technology include secure storage, pinpoint on-hand accuracy and fully automated access to books, folios, bound periodicals, government documents and archive material. The library’s Innovative brand circulation software interfaces seamlessly with the Dematic’s Document Management Software (DMS).
