Although deemed by the school to be an important corporate resource, school property records such as maps and site plans were not centralised. Instead they were largely held by a disparate group of contractors and third parties. Valuable information, such as the whereabouts and nature of underground services, was largely kept in the head of the property manager who relied solely on memory recall to access it.
