1 Pages• Route 7 (Wittpenn Bridge) Contract #4 over the Hackensack River • Proposed replacement of both Geofoam & Expanded Shale lightweight fill • Test Strip of 450 CY completed in October 2017 • 22” of compacted UL-FGA, Topped with 14” DGA Subbase and Pavement section. • Pavement has been monitored via survey since installation and shows no movement. • Contractor very happy with installation of UL-FGA. • Subbase placed, compaction of subbase above UL-FGA achieved with no issues. • Paved, traf ficked, monitor ed. • Since this install, DOT & Contractor reviewing designs to include the use of UL-FGA in other locations as well.
