Built in the early 1960’s Longford House is a three storey residential block of flats in South West London constructed using the No Fines concrete method. Even though Longford House was considered structurally sound, the external walls provided insufficient thermal performance and did not comply with current Building Regulations. Condensation, mould growth and drafts were a problem and so social landlord, Richmond Housing Partnership took the decision to appoint Anglian Building Products to install external wall insulation.
