Paper Plate Maker Adds Codes for Traceability
PREVIOUS PROCESS: Customer previously purchased one Linx continuous inkjet system with the intentions of purchasing seven additional systems to implement traceability onto all production lines. Customer never purchased the additional units because the Linx printer was not reliable and cost the customer time and money due to ongoing maintenance issues. SELECTION CRITERIA: MEK ink could not be used. ID TECHNOLOGY PROPOSAL OR SOLUTION: Shrink wrapped packs of paper plates in varying sizes coming out of a heat shrink machine had to be coded with date, time, plant identifier and line number.
