Traditional reliance on arena scoreboards forced officials to divert attention from the fast-paced action, risking missed calls and collisions. Using the Apple Watch’s haptic engine, the app alerts officials with unique tapping patterns for events like period endings and penalty releases, synchronized to the arena’s official clock. Adoption has reached 92.5 percent of officials, enabling them to stay focused on the ice, improving safety, call accuracy, and overall game experience.
