The NHL partnered with Presidio to create a Virtual Technical Operations Center (VTOC) that centralizes and streamlines live broadcast operations. Presidio built a custom application in just two weeks that consolidated complex broadcasting technologies into a single dashboard, enabling real-time monitoring and remediation. Using AWS Elemental services and the Zixi platform, audio and video from every game are processed and distributed securely at scale. The system supports 1,300+ games per season and major events like Frozen Frenzy with zero downtime. By improving visibility, enabling proactive issue resolution, and ensuring seamless delivery, VTOC redefined how fans experience live hockey worldwide.
