Middlesex University - Student Centre, Hendon Middlesex University’s new student centre, The Forum, opened on its Hendon campus in September 2008. It provides additional facilities to support the growth in student numbers and supports the masterplan redevelopment of the Hendon campus. Rolton Group carried out the detailed design of the civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and sustainable low/zero carbon engineering under a framework appointment with the university. The student centre was created by remodelling and extending the university’s old gymnasium building. The floor space was increased by adding a new mezzanine floor to the sports hall area. The centre incorporates a new fitness suite, a real tennis centre, catering outlets, meeting areas and social spaces for students. There
