Q: What were some of your pain points before migrating to Snowflake? A: At the time, we were using a different data warehouse solution, so we needed a database administrator to maintain the system. We struggled with workload management (WLM), which becomes challenging in this solution if you have complex rules for your processes. To scale, we had to add nodes or increase the compute power, which resulted in downtime. Also, API messages pretty much all use JSON now, and this other solution did not support semi-structured data. Q: How did Snowflake help to address these pain points? A: Snowflake is low maintenance, and storage and compute are separate. We no longer have WLM issues, and we can extract data faster with Tableau. We can scale up and down quickly, easily, and cost-eff
