Q: What were you looking for in a modern data ware- housing solution? A: We wanted to be able to redesign our data model to better meet the industry’s evolving needs. We needed to enhance performance, not by just a little bit (notice - able only to system administrators and managers), but by enough to impress our end users and deliver greater value to them. We also wanted to be scalable, to be able to expand or shrink the system on demand. Speed to market was also important; we’re always coming up with new ideas for data products, so we wanted to empower our devel- opers to quickly test new ideas.
