MEASURING THE EFFECT OF BOP MOVEMENT ON CONDUCTOR FATIGUE - NORWEGIAN NORTH SEA

Pages 1 Pages

THE PROJECT A client was experiencing movement of the Blow Out Preventer (BOP) during a drilling programme in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The client wanted to determine the reasons for BOP movement and the potential effect on the fatigue life of the conductor. Pulse installed a number of INTEGRIpod sensors to gather the required data on the forces being experienced. THE RESULT ? The collected data can be used to determine effect of the drilling campaign on fatigue life of conductor ? The operator could use the collected data to determine the reason for BOP movement, e.g. wave force, current, operation of riser ? Accurate and reliable data on forces experienced during drilling operations ? ROV retrievable loggers and magnetic holders for ease of installation a
