OVERVIEW Core was contracted to provide grouting services for the installation of an offshore substation in the German sector of the North Sea. A high-strength material was used for this project which Core brought through the ZiE approval process. EQUIPMENT ? High strength grout mixing unit ? High strength grout pumps. SCOPE OF WORK ? 4 piles to be grouted ? 132 tonnes of material ? Water depth 28 metres ? Grout was pumped 110 meters to pile. OPERATIONS ? Material delivered in 1500Kg bags in 20ft containers to the installation site ? 3000Kg were mixed at a time in Core’s orbital mixing unit. ? >20 MPa strength achieved 24 hours after job completion ?
