KIO Networks, a leading Mexican IT services provider, expanded its MEX5 data center by 1,000 m² and 1.2 MW in just five months—four months ahead of schedule—by partnering with Vertiv. The project deployed Liebert® EXL S1 UPS with lithium-ion batteries, Liebert® FPC PDUs, RX power cabinets, NetSure™ 8200 DC power, and Mexico’s first Liebert® HPC freecooling chiller with Supersaver functionality. Results included 60% energy savings, improved sustainability, and enhanced uptime for 24x7 operations. The innovative solutions gave KIO market differentiation as the first in Mexico to use freecooling and lithium-ion backup.
