A Fortune 500 ICT provider in India faced cooling limits at its 5.7 MW data center despite having rack space available. Legacy condensers caused heat island effects, high power use (PUE >2.0), and frequent CRAC trips that required manual water spraying in summer. To address this, Vertiv deployed Liebert® PDX units with digital scroll compressors, LVC V-shaped condensers with EC fans, and SmartAisle™ cold aisle containment. The retrofit eliminated short-cycling, reduced manual intervention, cut energy use, and enabled full utilization of IT load capacity. The provider achieved a mechanical PUE of 1.25 without expanding physical space.
