Illinois Route 159 | Volkert Location: Collinsville, IL Client: Illinois Department of Transportation This project includes completion of a Phase I and II engineering and corridor study of a 2.6 mile section of FAP Route 600 (IL-159) in Collinsville, IL, Madison County. The project consists of complete reconstruction of 2.5 miles of urban two-lane roadway to a four and five-lane section through the City. Volkert and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) completed environmental studies, determined engineering needs, and utilized an intense public involvement process to determine a design alternative for the improvement.
