At COP26, the UK Cabinet Office partnered with Cisco to deliver a hybrid event that enhanced inclusivity, connectivity, and sustainability. Using Webex Meetings, Legislate for Webex, and secure network solutions, Cisco enabled seamless participation for over 38,000 attendees across a 197,000m² site. The platform supported 14,000 unique users and 2944 hybrid meetings with real-time translation and secure voting. Despite pandemic challenges, COP26 saw unprecedented virtual engagement alongside in-person sessions, demonstrating how technology can enrich global conferences without replacing the essential nature of face-to-face diplomacy.
