Background Cole Easdon Consultants (CEC) prepared a surface and foul water drainage strategy in support of an outline planning application for a proposed residential development comprising 300 dwellings, located on a former food factory site in Bridgwater, Somerset. The work entailed extensive liaison with the Environment Agency, Wessex Water & Parrett Internal Drainage Board (the local drainage board) to agree post development discharge rates, points of discharge and to aid preparation of an appropriate drainage strategy. Planning permission was subsequently granted.
