One of the nation’s largest fire departments serving over 4 million people partnered with Insight to replace its legacy Oracle system with a modern cloud-based data platform for real-time intelligence. Using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake, and Power BI, the solution ingests 100+ events per second from 911 systems and GPS trackers to provide a unified dashboard of incidents, equipment, and personnel. This enabled optimized staging of 15,000 vehicles, streamlined IT management, and improved service. The result was a twofold improvement in emergency response times and a foundation for future predictive analytics.
