This case study describes how a state government technology department needed a secure, scalable identity platform to support agencies, local governments, and educational institutions after its existing IAM mixed internal users with external citizens, creating security risk, instability, and difficulty adding applications or enabling MFA. With limited internal resources, the agency issued an RFP and selected Simeio for its expertise and ability to deliver a citizen-facing solution using Ping technologies and Simeio IO. Simeio implemented PingFederate, PingDirectory, PingDataSync, and PingOne, integrated Simeio Identity Orchestrator to enable SSO and risk-based MFA, and migrated identities and applications while allowing coexistence with legacy systems during transition.
