Background Abelia Care was established in 2008 by joint directors Helen and Mel Rooke. The business provides domiciliary care mostly to elderly clients in the north Herefordshire and south Shropshire region. Now with around 80 clients and more than 30 staff, Abelia prides itself on offering a person-centred approach that meets individual clients’ needs and treats everyone with dignity and respect. Tara Jones is Abelia’s registered care manager. She’s been with the company almost since its inception and has spent her entire career to date in the care industry.
