1. Project One Case Study The Co-operative Banking Group In 2013 the Co-operative Banking Group offered a wide range of financial products to customers. Following the RDR (Retail Distribution Review) a strategic review was undertaken to look at the viability of manufacturing and distribution Life and Pension products following the merger with Britannia. The Co-operative Banking Group (CBG) subsequently decided to divest its Life and Savings Business to Royal London, an initiative known as ‘Jupiter’. The programme focused on separating the Life & savings business from the Co- operative banking Group including its IT systems data and handing over a fully operational IT estate to Royal London, enabling the sale to complete.
