Building 85-29 Hangar Upgrade (Portland Airport)
Portland Area Client Portland, OR Harris Group provided design and construction support for conversion of two existing hangars at the Portland International Airport from an aircraft maintenance function to a paint hangar function. The 85-29 paint hangars were comprehensively modi ed to paint new commercial wide-body airplanes (767 / 777 / 747). Boeing required two additional hangars for painting a limited number of airplanes while the Everett, WA hangars were undergoing upgrades in 2007. Modi cations in one of the hangers provided additional paint capacity for 2009 and beyond to address increased production at Boeing facilities.
