The City of Gothenburg commissioned SWG to develop a 3D BIM model of Bräckeskolan school (8,000 m²) to support renovation and extension plans. Outdated 2D drawings led to the decision to use laser scanning and georeferencing for accuracy. SWG efficiently delivered a Revit model, façade drawings, and a point cloud viewer, enabling virtual walkthroughs and precise measurements. This streamlined architectural planning, reduced site visits, and improved documentation accuracy. The project ensures smoother construction, lower costs, and efficient project execution, reinforcing Gothenburg’s commitment to high-quality public infrastructure management.
