Benchmarking the Indus Language Model on Intel® AI Hardware
Project Indus is an open-source language model tailored for Hindi and its dialects, aiming to advance natural language processing in the Indian linguistic context. In collaboration with Tech Mahindra, Intel benchmarked the model on Intel® AI hardware, including 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors. The study measured key performance metrics like Time to First Token (TTFT), throughput, and latency under various workloads. Results showed strong scalability and efficiency, providing valuable insights for developers to optimize implementation across diverse computing environments and enhance multilingual AI applications.
