Gwanwyn is a modern detached house set in a village location. The property is built at the bottom of a steep hill and during extreme wet weather the basement had been known to flood to around 750mm deep with Free Ground Water. In this busy family home, a good size room was being under utilised as it could not even be used for dry storage. That was until the owners called in Protectahome. THE SOLUTION After a thorough survey and having evaluated the proposed end use of the basement, Protectahome designed and installed a Type C Drained Protection Waterproofing System. This included for the installation of a Cavity Drain Membrane to the walls and the floor. A Perimeter Drainage channel was installed to capture any Free Ground Water that penetrates the structure.
