ARRIVAL FIX RETURNED TO SERVICE USING PASSUR GDP Case Study Problem: On January 28, 2010 a north-south line of weather moved from west to east across DFW airport. Holding was in progress at the four corner post arrival fixes during the hour prior to weather impact. After the line of weather passed east of DFW, arrival operations resumed from the west fixes. Arrival fixes to the east of DFW remained stopped. ATC issued an advisory to reroute traffic away from BONHAM for the next several hours. Implications: • Aircraft volume at open fixes could not accommodate additional demand from the east fixes without significant restrictions. • Rerouting arrival traffic from the northeast away from BONHAM created problems for the airlines LGA- DFW flights – they couldn’t car
