Arena Financing Study Joplin, Missouri Global Entertainment Corporation approached the City of Joplin with a proposal to construct an arena with approximately 5,000 seats. The proposal named five possible sites for the arena. Discussions regarding the proposal identified six potential financing tools available to the City including Community Improvement District, state economic stimulus programs (MoDESA and MoDESA Light), grants, tax increment financing (TIF) and a transportation development district (TDD). Mr. Hunden managed the engagement with the City to analyze both the sites and the financing tools.
