Analyzing the Effects of Climate Change on Bird Populations The National Audubon Society has been working to protect America’s birds and the places they need since 1905. In 2014, Audubon published the Birds and Climate Change Report, outlining threats posed to birds by a changing climate, mobilizing nearly one million members and supporters to take action. Summary Audubon’s peer-reviewed research predicts that climate change will threaten nearly half of all bird species in North America over the next century. With the climate report’s publication, Audubon continued its long tradition of buttressing advocacy with hard science.
