Cheddi Jagan International Airport were going under renovations in order to expand their operations. One of the main challenges was installing a fire water line. The main concern was to find a suitable pipe that required minimum maintenance and minimum possible installation time. The other challenge was the installation of the water supply line and they required a pipe in compliance with ASME standards. Pexgol pipe systems was chosen due to its capabilities that allow the pipes to be dragged on concrete, steel and all over the construction site making the installation efficient and fast. With other materials such as PE, tons of precautions to not damage the line would have been necessary. Pexgol pipes were also a great solution to withstand water hammer.
