BBC Chartering May 2015 – The m/v BBC Fuji transformed in a new type of “aircraft carrier” when it loaded the components for the first Airbus aircraft to be produced in the US on Friday, May 29 in Hamburg, Germany. The vessel set course for Mobile, Alabama where Airbus established its first U.S. Manufacturing Facility to assemble and deliver A319, A320 and A321 aircraft to meet the growing needs of its customers in the United States and elsewhere. The Mobile plant is the company’s fourth’ major production facility in the network which includes Toulouse, France; Hamburg, Germany; and Tianjin, China.
