Case study CBRN defence capabilities on the Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier THE CHALLENGE The new Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier needed a comprehensive Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) defence capability to reduce the impact of contamination on personnel and operation of the ship. The proposals had to balance the cost-benefit of the CBRN systems and fully comply with the MoD Defence Standards.
