Agnico-Eagle, a Canadian gold producer with major operations in Finland, needed a secure and reliable way to monitor its complex refining process while keeping equipment safe from harsh environments. The IT team placed computers in a protected server room and used Black Box dual-access, quad-head KVM extenders to transmit video, keyboard, and mouse signals 75 feet to the control room. A KVM Matrix Switch allowed two operators to manage up to 16 servers simultaneously. The solution reduced clutter, improved efficiency, and has run flawlessly since installation, providing dependable support in the demanding mining environment.
