Yokogawa Optimizes HMEL Control Room Operations with MultiView KVM Solution

Yokogawa Optimizes HMEL Control Room Operations with MultiView KVM Solution

HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) in India needed to extend four KVM machines from a server room to a control room 311 feet away, supporting ten 27-inch monitors and three 55-inch screens. Partnering with Yokogawa, Black Box, and Rahi, the solution combined CATx KVM extenders, the Freedom II KM Switch with Glide-and-Switch functionality, and Multiviewers. This enabled seamless control of multiple servers with one keyboard and mouse, flexible screen layouts in full, PIP, or quad view, and redundancy with backup devices. The system streamlined workflows, improved efficiency, and delivered a robust, future-ready control room setup.
