Intel, in collaboration with local partners, enabled the creation of a 5G Digital School Library in Penang, Malaysia, providing nearly 200,000 K–12 students with access to digital learning resources through a hybrid edge-cloud solution. Powered by Intel® processors and 5G connectivity, the solution delivers high-performance, reliable access to educational content, even in areas with limited internet. This on-premise edge platform supports content caching and local access, overcoming infrastructure and bandwidth challenges. Deployed across 88 schools, the project has enhanced digital literacy, accelerated national 5G infrastructure goals, and significantly improved student learning experiences.
