AbbVie partnered with Intel to enhance its NLP tools for accelerating biopharmaceutical research across its global workforce. Using 2nd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, the Intel® oneAPI Deep Neural Network Library (oneDNN), and the OpenVINO™ toolkit, AbbVie optimized its Abbelfish Machine Translation and BERT-based AbbVie Search. These tools enable faster, more accurate document analysis and translation, supporting drug discovery and manufacturing. The result was a 1.9X throughput boost for Abbelfish and 5.3X acceleration for AbbVie Search, demonstrating the power of CPU-based AI inference at enterprise scale.
